Oak & Hickory Halls, Mansfield University

Oak Hall and Hickory Hall are living learning centers that comprise the first phase of the WTW prepared student housing masterplan to replace all 1,800 existing beds on campus. The Halls’ strategic location along an upper ridge provides dramatic views of the campus and surrounding landscape, enhancing their connection to the University.

Student life and engagement is enhanced on the main floors with flexible multi-purpose spaces for 50 to 125, dining areas with kitchens, meeting rooms, and recreation rooms. Social, study, and laundry areas provide additional opportunities for engagement on all upper floors. Walkways, courtyards, plazas, and recreational areas provide an inviting transition to the academic core.

The brick and stone buildings, window placement, and steep roofs complement the historic campus architecture. Sustainable features include a highly efficient geothermal heating and cooling system.
